| Bali continues
to be one of the world's most attractive holiday
destinations. The Island offers a fascinationg
blend of culture and nature and is attracting
visitors from all over the world. It presents
pristine beaches, dramatic volcanoes, mountain
lakes, rainforests, high class accomodation,
fabulous holiday villas, all sorts of attractions
and above all, people who are extremely welcoming
and tolerant towards visitors from all over
the world. The Balinese form of Hinduism and
the strong community ties have withstood the
impact of tourism and the people have selectively
adopted what appears as valuable from the culture
of the visitors without loosing their own identity
as Balinese.
If you are looking for a truly Asian experience
but with the western comfort, Bali will probably
achieve this better than any other place. The
culture is authentic and alive, with ceremonies,
prayers, dances and parades happening every
day. You can combine a wonderful mix of relaxation,
family activity, sports and sightseeing.
Bali is as popular as ever; tribute indeed
to the resilient, hospitable and kind Balinese
people. It’s a large Island with much to explore,
so for the first time visitor 2 weeks is barely
enough.
We think that Bali can be enjoyed by everyone.
We have selected the best villas all over the
Island and you will certainly find something
that suits your needs and budget.
Bali is a large Island, with over 5,600 sqm
of land space; it needs to be as its population
is around 3 million people. Its central lands
are dominated by a series of volcanic peaks
(some still active) with Mt. Agung, the highest
and holiest, at 3142m. Most of the tourist areas
are in the south of the Island, with Kuta being
the busiest of the lot. Our villas, however,
are located in the more sophisticated areas.
For example in Seminyak; (the west coast beach
area renowned for trendy restaurants), in Sanur
(east coast with its safe family beach) or on
the southern peninsula of Nusa Dua (full of
resort facilities, including golf). We also
have some charming villas in the lovely Ubud
area, which is on higher ground in the cooler
central part of Bali. You can even find an Amazing
Luxury Villa on Bali’s quiet northern shore
in Permuteran…a real getaway.
When it comes to the local culture there is
so much to see and do that we cannot possibly
list it all here. Our staff has selected the
best quality tours and guides, who can take
you to some of the lesser known old villages
and off the beaten track temples. Dining out
in Bali is as varied as everything else on the
Island. From local village stalls (warungs)
to international class restaurants, prices are
good and so are standards. There is a growing
community of expatriates on the Island prompting
the growth of quality eateries and delis, many
of them offering delivery services to our villas.
For the sporty, Bali has much to offer. There
are three excellent golf courses, exciting white
water rafting rivers, superb diving options,
water sports of all kinds and good value days
out to neighboring Islands. Some of our villas
also have tennis courts. For longer holidays
we recommend combining 2 to 3 different villas
and locations (for example starting in Seminyak
or Kerobokan for 3 days, moving up to Ubud for
3 days, then on to Pemuteran for a few more
nights (great diving up there!) before returning
down south again to the Sanur area to complete
the holiday; the airport is just a 30 minute
hop from Sanur.
