This may the first time you have booked a private
villa so its important that you know what to look for and how to get the most
out of your holiday. Here are just a few tips which will help you to enjoy a
wonderful villa holiday:
-
Take time to fully to orientate yourself with the layout and facilities of the
villa as soon as you arrive. Our online floor plans give you plenty of detail
and when you arrive at the property our Private Concierge Service will conduct
a tour to brief you on the emergency procedures at the property.
-
Our Private Concierge Service will ensure that you, and your guests, are
individually introduced to the villa staff. As English is not their mother
tongue, we will write down the names of everyone in your party to aid the staff
in their communication with their guests.
-
Every service staff has a name badge, so be sure to address them by name.
-
After a familiarization tour of the villa, we will have a short meeting with the
staff to iron out any issues, run special requests and most importantly agree
on the hours of working for the staff. Whilst every staff member is paid to
work a set number of hours, some guests are happy for staff to come in late or
go home early so the guests can enjoy extra privacy.
-
Please bring photocopies of everyone's passport; in some destinations it is a
legal requirement that villas register all of their overseas guests with the
local authorities.
-
We and all of our villa owners take no responsibility for the loss of personal
possessions whilst at an Amazing Luxury Villa. Most properties have a safe box
and our staff will show you where it is and how to operate it. Please make sure
that you do not leave any valuables lying around, particularly money...small
amounts of money to you could be large amounts to locals; its better not to
leave temptation lying around. If you require additional safe boxes to the ones
provided at the villa, our Private Concierge Service can make alternative
arrangements.
-
If you have children in your party, its a good idea to tour the villa at the
start to anticipate any areas which could be potentially dangerous and any
items belonging to the villa which could get damaged by your kids. Feel free to
ask the staff to remove items to storage that might fall into this category.
-
Get to know the staff, ask about their families, their interests and tell them
about your life back home; they are always very interested to learn how other
people live.
-
It's always useful to have a simple phrase book for the destination with popular
words translated into your language. All Amazing Luxury Villas have English
speaking trained staff, who in many cases can also communicate in other
languages however, some of the junior staff may have difficulty understanding
languages other than their mother tongue. Our Private Concierges all speak
perfect English.
-
If you are going out for the day its important to tell the staff when they can
expect you back at the villa. In the unlikely event of something going wrong
during your day the staff will alert us if you don't return on time. If you are
running late or get delayed, try to call the villa on the telephone to alert
the staff of your new ETA.
