Karang Putih Estate and one is immediately presented with a dazzling view of the
Indian Ocean. Situated on the cliff edge near to Uluwatu, the southern most tip
of Bali, Karang Putih Estate occupies a sprawling 13,500 m2 of pristine lawns and
luscious tropical floral gardens.
Built in
harmony with its natural surroundings, the estate is a truly modern luxury home
in architecture and design. It comprises a main building, a guest house and a
pool house with two salt water swimming pools and sleeping accommodation for up
to 12 guests. The high ceilings and munificent rooms create the feeling of
endless space, and the openness of the buildings invites an abundance of natural
light and breeze.
The décor and
fittings throughout reflect a colonial treasure trove, thick oriental rugs,
objects d’art from around Asia and rare antique furniture from Siam and China
decorate the rooms and corridors.
With a fully
trained brigade of service staff it is little wonder that most guests are happy
to lazy the days away on the Estate, without venturing across the Island.
However, within a 20 kilometers drive there are a wealth of activities;
international standard golf course, lawn tennis, lawn boules, surfing, water
skiing, reef fishing, hand gliding and big game fishing.
Closer to home
and a foot the cliff, a winding road leads down to quiet tropical beaches where
the only activity is the seaweed farming, still traditionally practiced by the
original Balinese coastal families.
For a far
more modern experience, Karang Putih Estate is one of the few properties on the Island
to boast a private helipad. From your own back yard, the experienced pilots from
Air Bali conduct personal tours around the Island and can provide quick
transfers to the International Airport, 18 kilometers away.

ACCOMMODATION

MAIN FLOOR – MAIN HOUSE
Entrance under covered Port Cochere into hallway. Door, to the right into Estate office. Doors to the left, lead to the guest wash room and separate doors into a twin bedroom, ideal for children. Wardrobe space and A/C are featured and an en-suite with tub, shower, WC and wash basin.
Further south along the hallway, a door to the right leads to a library, which features a computer, with internet access and A/C unit. Beyond the library is a stairwell, leading up to the first floor guest bedroom, and beyond this is the master bedroom, featuring a king double bed, dressing room, split A/C and large en-suite bathroom with tub, shower, WC and wash basin. The master bedroom can also be approached via a verandah, which runs the entire southern face of the main house
On the opposite, east side, of the hallway is the main living and dining area. The lounge area features the in house entertainment system, complete with DVD player, 40 satellite channels, large screen TV and stereo. To the front, occupying part of the covered verandah is the large dining area, which can seat up to 20 people.
The fully equipped kitchen, adjacent to the lounge area, has built in cutlery cupboards, double sink, black terazzo bar with stainless steel Ariston dishwasher, walk in pantry with cellar. A built in cooking area features the latest stainless steel Modena gas oven, with 5 burners.
STAFF AREA INSIDE MAIN HOUSE
Containing two maid bedrooms, a small second kitchen with built in cupboards, Stainless steel sink, 2 burner gas range, and ceiling fan.
STAFF AREA OUTSIDE MAIN HOUSE
Comprising the staff eating area, with built in storage, Stainless steel sink, washing machine, garden tool storage, and water distribution pump house.
UPPER FLOOR – MAIN HOUSE
The king double bedroom has its own private lounge, outside balcony, walk in dressing room, air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub and views of the Indian Ocean.
GUEST HOUSE
A fully self contained unit, the guest house comprises two bedrooms, each with spilt AC and ceiling fans, built in wardrobes, bookshelves, TV cabinet, en-suite bathrooms with shower. One of the two bathrooms has a terrazo bath tub.
Between the bedrooms is a covered area for lounging and dining.
The Guest House also has its own salt water swimming pool (7m x 3.5m) and is equipped with full external lighting
POOL HOUSE
A pathway leads across the lawn to the Pool House, situated right by the cliff edge. Featuring one king size bedroom with split AC, ceiling fan, and en-suite with shower, WC & wash basin. There is a large open sitting area with an 8 meter built in couch, a Japanese tepanyaki grill, seating 8 guests, a small kitchenette with double stainless steel sink, refrigerator and freezer. The Pool House overlooks the main 17m x 7m salt water swimming pool.
